Swinburne Grand Opening..and more;)

Yesterday was the Grand Opening of Swinburne's expanded campus.
All students involved in the ceremony were to meet at the auditorium at 11am but Keong brought me there earlier cos he needa practice for his performance.
LOL.
The above photo is the courtyard, where the make-shift stage is and also the place where refreshments were to be served.
It was a pretty long wait at the auditorium as the ceremony would only start at 2pm.
Thus, the numerous camwhoring sessions we all had.

And undoubtedly, labelled the most vain camwhore of the day is none other than our very own ADRIEN ANDRIEN TING
Note the blue-colored streaks on his hair. He used Chloe's blue MASCARA to highlight them!! -.- [Adrien if u want the full photos of yourself, let me know ya;)]

Also volunteered ourselves to usher guests into the multi-purpose hall. It was raining so we stood by to shade them over.
At 2pm we all got ready at the multi-purpose hall. There was a total of 5 groups consisting of the choir, performers and welcoming group if I'm not mistaken. Chloe, Edina, Adrien n I were in Group E. Lucky us as our group was on duty in the MPH itself, where the ceremony was to be conducted. Which means we can sit through the whole ceremony (not that it's fun la, but it still is an opportunity)!
Our job at the 'welcomers' was to just wave flags when the Chief Minister and other VIPs arrive. The four of us were positioned in front of the main entrance so we got to see most of the going ons.




Edina spotted this cute lil girl waiting with her mum for the VIPs to arrive. Sucha pretty dress.
Finally, the arrival of the VIPs.

And the Chief Minister himself.

I managed to get a pretty good shot of him admist the crowd formed by the media crew on the red carpet.

Anyhoo, we were pretty jaded and bored during the ceremony..
Edina started photographing my Kipling ape. Putting it in different poses. Haha.

With the lighting of the torch, the ceremony came to its end.
Of course, the CM couldn't go home just yet. He was brought for a campus tour. Various booths were set up by the different faculties of the university, displaying their stuff. Not sure what since I didn't go take a look, actually I forgot la. :(

As said earlier, refreshments were served. Catered by Penview Hotel for the invited guests and participating students.
The VIPs had food catered by Hilton.

Edina..Indulging. ;)

The students' performances started too.
And here, the performance by the Dance Club. The one I've been spending much time seeing their practices the past week.

So cool.

My apologies for not taking videos of the rest of the performances. The reason, I was busy EATING =x Anyway, they were all really really great. Especially the singing performances.
I went back home around 5pm. Was exhausted to the max!

Later on that night, went out for some fun with Keong and dance club members.
He picked me and a few others up to Soho.

In his car wearing his newly bought cap. Look funny on me.
Stopped by Bing first cos it was still early.

Jason n his gf..He was so zombie-like. Too tired and yet still wanna party -.-

Anyway, we ended up at Ipanema instead.
Total of 16 of us.
